Izzy

Izzy is a 4 ½ year old brindle female with cropped and standing ears. Izzy is on the petite side, but is absolutely beautiful. She came to rescue through an abuse case with two other danes, where she was used for breeding and has had several litters. When she first came to us she was very combative with other dogs. Izzy has made great improvements and is learning other dogs are a good thing and great company. She’s good with cats and loves to be inside with her family. Izzy is very good on leash, loves to be with her people, and loves everyone she meets. When she first came to MAGDRL she ate so fast and furious that it would have made your throat hurt to watch her. She’s learning that there will always be more food to be had and that she can even walk away from the bowl, without being frantic. Izzy came to MAGDRL in October 2010. (6)

Update 12/22/10 - Izzy had started acting up to the other dogs she was around, her foster family has been working with her and she’s done amazing. She hangs out with them in the house and out in the yard and at one point tried to initiate play as well. She’s come a long way and is such a kind girl. Izzy was recently spayed and we would like to see her placed with another canine and also with a dog savvy family.
